Acquisition of the Aspley Village Shopping Centre in Brisbane, worth $63 million. The centre consists of a Coles, 25 specialty shops, alfresco dining and undercover parking for around 470 cars. The existing medical centre was expanded to incorporate a gymnasium.

Project Details

Spectrum was the client asset manager and joint venture representative for this Coles anchored shopping centre. Whilst Abacus is the asset manager, Spectrum’s role was as owners’ representative on all investment management issues including strategic reviews, lease negotiations and valuation management.

Overview & Approach

  • To support the increased student numbers resulting from the expansion of the College, the catering facilities were replaced to meet future demand and provide upgraded facilities .
  • The new facility addresses all functional issues including capacity, circulation, storage, equipment quality and capacity, ventilation, safety and finishes. It also includes replacement of the existing roof and a new lift to address access issues in the building.
